Virtual Identity

Avatars are the representation of our online – or virtual – identity. However, the way we relate to these icons are everything but simple. Have you ever asked yourself what is your relationship status with your own avatar?

Whether you had a precise objective at the moment you created it, or it simply evolved with time, we are never indifferent to our own virtual representation. So… After you chose your Second Life name and your initial image; after you dwell in the virtual world for some time (weeks? A decade already?) – what do you feel about your avatar? Do you love it? Maybe you hate it at times? Did it grow in you? Did it change with time and new technical developments? Or do you feel that if you change your eyebrow colour it will not feel like yourself anymore?
